Body of Lies, Roger Ferris (DiCaprio) is a CIA field agent assigned in the middle east to fight terrorism and blah blah blah, you know the rest of the stuff!

This movie – as a lot of other movies and T.V. shows – discuss some theories about the Arab and Muslim civilization, I was happy that at last one movie – to a certain level – said something true about true Islam, and not create some stupid non-related to Islam stuff, in the scene were Ferris were captured by terrorists, I liked the way Ferris replied to Al-Saleem who was reading a verse from the Holy Quran to him, and Ferris told him that you can’t explain the verses of the Holy Quran the way it suits you, so that you can allow yourself to kill innocent souls, and this is true, we as Muslims aren’t allowed to kill innocent people, and it is said so in Quran, also it is known that prophet Mohammad peace be upon him used to order the soldiers in wars not attack women, children , and old people.

Never-the-less, I heard that the movie weren’t allowed to shoot scenes in Amman – Jordan,  and the scenes in the movie that show Amman, doesn’t reflect at all what Amman looks like (believe me I live in Amman).  Overall, it’s a nice movie to watch, and I hope that one day the movies to come -if any- will be more true and show what Muslims are, instead of showing the stereo-typing link of Islam to Terrorism most of the non-Arabs and non-Muslims think that it is true.

It is so dangerous how the American Movie industry affects the youth and everyone of course.  First it was Russians who were terrorists, then Asian mafias, then I don’t know who, then it’s the Arabs.  And because of the focus on these thoughts in Movie scenes people all around the world are getting brain washed, and just treat us – the Muslim Arabs – in a strange way.

Anyway, I couldn’t care less if they wanna treat us good or bad, I’m a Muslim, proud to be one, an Arab, and proud to be one also.

I hope we can make an Arab made  movie which reflects some statements of truth, which the others – specially Americans – showed the opposite of these facts in their movies!
